Join us for this exciting afternoon workshop with the wonderful Robert Tsai, PT, DPT of Dance Prehab in California!


Workshop Description


This course gives dance educators a simple and human way to introduce athletic principles to young dancers. We start with the RAMP warm-up and Athletic Motor Skill Competency frameworks to help dancers understand how the body prepares, organizes, and progresses toward more demanding movement. From there, we lean into physical literacy, play, and gamification to take the pressure out of “exercise” and make learning feel more approachable for youth and adolescents. These principles can be woven directly into dance movement and choreography, creating opportunities for consistent application and clearer relevance for dancers.


Through guided challenges and movement games, dancers explore how they generate force, find balance, respond to speed, and adapt to their needs and environment. We aim to connect the dots between the athletic demands of dance and…
